As some of us go through the many challenges in life we learn to take nothing for granted. Just as fast and you or on top, tomorrow you can be right back at the bottom or even lower. On my road to success I will and will continue to be humble. I am blessed for the opportunity to follow my dreams. I am blessed for all of the support from my family and friends and I am extremely grateful for my Girlfriends!
What I don't understand is how some people can be arrogant, materialistic, bold, bitchy assholes. Especially some small business owners and entertainers. How do you expect someone to buy something from you or support you when you walk around with a bad attitude or act like your too good to associate with us regular folks. WTF. I mean it boggles my mind how people can act like that. The same people that try to Stunt on are the same people that you need in the long run to make your business or career progress and last.
In Example, (this is just an example Girlfriends so don't go starting stuff)
I walk into a "boutique". The owner doesn't greet me just look and gives me a half smile while she continues to lurk on Facebook. When I find something I like (which is really just alright, I'm just buying it to support another sister) she grabs the hanger and says "Who told you about us?" then hands me the bag and continue to worship her computer. If I had went to this store 3 years ago I would have told her to give me my money back and called her a Stupid Snitch (you know what I mean), but I politely took my bag and told her to have a nice day.
What happens Next:
I call my close Girlfriends and tell them about this janky ass establishment and owner. Then they tell their other friends, who tell their friends, who tell their friends and so on. Then everyone in our small city knows this establishment and the owner in a negative light.
Last time I checked, You need customers to grow you business and word of mouth is a powerful marketing tool. That's business 101
You may have established a business that is up and running but does that give you the right to view us regular ol working folk as a nuisance.. UH NO!
Another Example (Just an Example)
A local "artist" that is kinda talented just dropped a CD with one big wig on it. When you see them in public they act like they are on Beyonce or Jay Z status which they are NOT. No smile or greeting, no autographs (like who really wants one) nothing but a messed up demeanor and attitude. But when you log onto FB they have posted a link on your page wanting you to view their new janky video and download their Album... Uh NO!
Last Example,
THESE DAMN FB STATS:
" YOU BUMS THINK YALL ON BECAUSE YOU SPENDING THAT TAX MONEY WHEN I BALL YEAR ROUND!"
When did it become wrong to receive and income tax check and spend it how you want. And ok some of us cannot ball year round because we want to live on our own and take care of our kids.. Not live for the club and spend $10,000 a year on club pictures..
"I GOT EVERY PAIR OF TRUES THAT HAVE EVER CAME OUT.. YALL CHICS CATCH UP"
WOW you got every pair of jeans made by a millionaire and your not even a thousandnaire and if you are, do you have money in your savings account. I guess this makes you hot shit. Better that us Old Navy Jean wears.
As a people we need to humble ourselves and realize that material things come and go. We must value people, time and life and not things. You can't forget where you came from and how hard you had to work to get where you are today. Treat people the way you want to be treated and if you are an entrepreneur, value your customer and fans. Who are you with out them?
